11 Most Powerful Home Remedies For Hair Fall

anHair is one of the most essential parts of our personality but hair loss is a very common concern these days. Hair fall can happen due to several factors like unbalanced diet, too much of stress, nutritional deficiencies, genetic issues, environmental factors etc.

There are about 100000 strands of hair in our scalp and losing around 50-100 strands a day is considered normal. But, losing more than this is a cause of worry, an alarm to take some action so that it doesn’t result into baldness or bald spots.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is also known as methi and is very effective in treating hair loss. The seeds have nicotinic acid and proteins which stimulates hair growth. Soak fenugreek seeds in the water overnight and grind them to make a smooth paste. Add few drops of coconut oil to it and apply all over the scalp. Leave it for 20-30 minutes and then rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Follow it regularly for atleast a month for best results.

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is one of the effective remedy for hair growth as it is rich in potassium, iron, vitamin E and essential fats. Take out fresh coconut scrapings and blend it. Now squeeze the paste to take out the coconut milk and apply this milk on your hair and scalp and massage the scalp for a while and leave it for 15-20 minutes. It will give miraculous results.

Egg Mask

As we all know, egg is a rich source of protein which helps in reformation of new hair. It is also rich in iron, zinc , phosphorus . Take 2 eggs and separate egg white in a bowl and then add 2 table spoon of yogurt and mix it well. Apply the mixture generously all over the scalp. Leave it for half an hour and then wash it off thoroughly with lukewarm water. Repeat the process twice a week.

Onion Juice


Onion can treat hair loss as it has high level of sulphur content, which helps in blood circulation and rebuilding hair follicles. It can even treat any sort of scalp infections leading to hair fall. Take onion and blend it smoothly to extract juice out of it.

You can even add few drops of lemon or one table spoon of honey. Apply the juice all over the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes at least and then wash it off thoroughly. To get rid of the strong odour of onion you can add few drops of lemon in warm water, to get rid off the smell.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is one of those miracle plants which does wonder to your hair. It helps to maintain the pH balance of the hair which cleanses the pores. It also contains certain enzymes that removes dead cells from the scalp and helps in removing clogged follicles.

Take an aloe vera leaf and extract juice or gel out of it. Apply the gel all over the hair and scalp. Massage it for 2-3 minutes. Leave the gel for an hour. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. It lt will leave the hair silky and smooth.

Castor Oil

Castor oil is an essential oil which is extremely beneficial in hair growth and scalp nourishment. It is a rich source of vitamin E, proteins, omega 6 essential fatty acids which accelerates blood circulation and increases hair growth. It even has antibacterial and antifungal properties which is helpful for scalp infections.

Castor is quite thick and viscous, so it is suggested to mix castor oil with some other oil like coconut oil , olive oil or almond oil. Massage the oil in the scalp for 10 minutes and leave it overnight and then wash the hair with lukewarm water. Regular use of castor oil can give good results for hair.

Amla

Amla is one magic fruit which has multiple benefits for the hair. It is a rich source of vitamin C and full of antioxidants. It helps in strengthening hair follicles, stimulates hair growth, prevents hair breakage and split ends. Amla is also beneficial even if it is taken raw. Mix 2 table spoon of amla juice or powder with equal amount of lemon juice. Apply it over the scalp and hair and leave it for an hour. Rinse it off for amazing results.

Licorice Root

Licorice is another herb that promotes hair growth. Application of licorice root helps to open  the pores and soothe the scalp. Take 1 tablespoon of licorice root powder in 1 cup of milk with ¼ tsp of saffron. Mix it together. Apply the paste on bald patches and leave it overnight. In the morning, wash it off. It also helps in preventing dandruff in the hair.

Garlic

Garlic is known as “wonder drug”. It helps in preventing hair loss and also regenerates hair follicles. It even strengthens hair roots and removes all toxins from the scalp. The element allicin present in garlic increases the haemoglobin of the scalp which helps in preventing hair loss.

Garlic is also enriched with copper mineral which makes hair strong and thick. Boil 7-8 cloves of crushed garlic with olive oil and apply to the roots of hair. You can even add honey with crushed garlic as honey will add moisture to the hair and also helps to reduce the smell of the garlic as well.

Curry Leaves

Curry leaves contains essential nutrients which are useful in strengthening hair follicles. Curry leaves is a rich source of protein and beta- carotene. It helps in restoring natural colour of the hair because of the presence of vitamin B and hence helps in preventing greying of hair .

To use curry leaves, take handful amount of curry leaves to half cup of coconut oil and boil it for 2-3 minutes. Let the oil come to room temperature and then massage the oil with the fingertips all over the scalp for few minutes. Keep the oil for atleast 1 hour. Rinse the hair with lukewarm water.

Curry leaves can be used with yogurt as well. Take some amount of curry leaves and grind it with yogurt. Apply this paste in your scalp and hair. Keep it for 30 minutes . Wash the hair with a mild shampoo.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a rich source of vitamin C, Vitamin B and folic acid which helps in nourishing the hair. It makes the hair strong and thick. Lemon tightens the pores and helps in controlling hair loss. It also contains alpha –hydroxy acids which prevents dandruff on the scalp. Take 2 tablespoon of lemon and mix it with coconut oil or olive oil and apply it all over the scalp and hair. Leave it for an hour. Wash the hair thoroughly.
