5 Quick And Easy Delicious Recipes To Serve Your Guests

1.Schezwan Rice Recipe

Serves – 2


  1. Rice – 2 cups
  2. Cabbage- ¼ cup finely chopped
  3. French beans – 50 gms chopped
  4. Spring Onion – 50 gms finely chopped
  5. Carrot- 50 gms chopped
  6. Garlic – 1 tablespoon chopped
  7. Ginger- ½ table spoon chopped
  8. White pepper powder – ½ teaspoon
  9. Red orange colour – a pinch
  10. Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
  11. Schezwan sauce – 4 tablespoon
  12. Oil- 3 tablespoon
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Water- 4 cups


  1. Soak rice for half an hour. Rice becomes longer and separated if soaked for a while. Take a pan and add 4 cups of water, salt and boil it till rice is cooked 90%. Drain the water and keep the rice for drying for sometime.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped green chillies and onion. Cook till onion is transparent. Then add ginger and garlic along with vegetables cabbage, french beans and carrot with salt as per taste. Then add white pepper powder and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Then add schezwan sauce (which is available in the market easily) and cook all the ingredients for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Then mix rice to the vegetables with chopped spring onion, vinegar and some red orange food colour (one can mix food colour in few drops of water). Mix all the ingredients properly and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Your Schezwan Rice is ready. Garnish it with spring onion.

2.Peanut with stir fried paneer recipe

Serves- 2


  1. Paneer- 200 gms cubes
  2. Green Bell Pepper – 1 sliced
  3. Yellow Bell Pepper – 1 sliced
  4. Onion- 1 sliced
  5. Brocolli- 1 cup chopped
  6. Ginger – 1 inch chopped
  7. Garlic – 7-8 cloves
  8. Peanuts- 2 tablespoon crushed
  9. Honey – 1 teaspoon
  10. Butter – 1 teaspoon
  11. Soy sauce- 2 tablespoon
  12. Cornflour- 1 tablespoon
  13. Paprika- ¼ teaspoon
  14. Red chilli sauce- 1 teaspoon
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Black pepper powder – ¼ teaspoon


  1. Take a pan and heat the oil to stir fry the paneer cubes
  2. In another pan, take butter and add peanuts and roast them for about few seconds till it gets brown.
  3. Take a wok and heat oil and add ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes.
  4. Add onion and cook it till it is transparent.
  5. Add broccoli and bell peppers and salt as per taste
  6. Mix it properly and let it cook for 6-7 minutes. Then add soy sauce, honey and chilli sauce. Mix it well.
  7. Now add black pepper powder, paprika and corn flour.
  8. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil for sometime for a thicker consistency.
  9. Add fried paneer cubes and keep it stirring till the cauce coats panner and vegetables properly.
  10. Serve it hot and garnish it with crushed peanuts.

3.Hakka Noodles

Serves- 3


  1. Hakka noddles- 200 gms
  2. Garlic – 8-9 fcloves finely chopped
  3. Onion- medium sliced
  4. Spring onions – 4 sliced
  5. Green chillies- 3 slited from centre
  6. Cabbage- ¼ cup ( finely shredded)
  7. Carrot – ½ peeled and sliced
  8. Capsicum ( green ) – ¼ sliced
  9. Cauliflower- 2-3 tablespoon florets
  10. Spring onion leaves for garnishing
  11. Soy sauce- 1 teaspoon
  12. Tomato ketchup- 1 tablespoon
  13. Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Black pepper powder –  a pinch of powder
  16. Oil- 3 tablespoon


  1. Take a vessel and add 4 cups of water and boil noodles.
  2. Boil the noodles until ¾ cooked and then drain the noodles and wash it off in a cold water and keep it aside.
  3. Heat the oil and add green chillies along with the garlic. Saute it for a while and cook it a high flame.
  4. Now add onions and cook it till transparent, mix vegetables and salt. Toss them properly and gently.
  5. Season the vegetables with black pepper powder; keep it stirring till it gets a bit crunchy.
  6. Add boiled noodles and mix it properly and toss it on a high flame.
  7. Now add soy sauce, tomato ketchup and vinegar. Cook the noodles for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Serve the hot noodles and garnish it with spring onion leaves.

Few tips:

  1. Do not overcook the noodles as it can become soggy.
  2. One can add schezwan sauce and convert the noodles as schezwan noodles.

4.Vegetable and aloo tikki wrap recipe

Serves- 4


For Aloo tikki

  1. Potatoes- 4 medium, boiled and mashed
  2. Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
  3. Onion- small finely chopped
  4. Dry mango powder ( amchur powder)- ½ teaspoon
  5. Bread crumbs – 2 tablespoon
  6. Cumin seeds- ½ teaspoon roasted and powdered
  7. Garam masala powder – ½ teaspoon
  8. Red chilli powder- ½ teaspoon
  9. Turmeric powder- ½ teaspoon
  10. Coriander leaves – finely chopped
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil for  frying

Other Ingredients:

  1. Chapati’s / Roti’s/ Tortilla’s – 4
  2. Cabbage- 1 cup shredded
  3. Capsicum- 1/2 cup thinly sliced
  4. Onion- small thinly sliced
  5. Tomato- 1 thinly sliced
  6. Oil – 1 teaspoon
  7. Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Chaat masala-1/2 teaspoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Cucumber and Carrot Salad Dressing-4 teaspoon
  11. Red chili sauce- 4 tablespoon


  1. Take the boiled potatoes and mash it in a big bowl and mix finely chopped onion, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, bread crumbs, dry mango powder, roasted cumin seeds, red chilli powder,turmeric powder, chaat masala, garam masala powder and fresh coriander leaves and salt as per taste. Mix all the ingredients and make aloo tikki from the mixture of round or oval shaped.
  2. Take a pan and pour few drops of oil and place patties on it and cook it for 3-4 minutes from both the sides until golden brown and keep the flame medium high. Once cooked keep it aside.
  3. Take a bowl and add shredded cabbage, onion, capsicum, and tomatoes in a bowl.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in another pan and add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds start spluttering, add vegetable mixture into it and cook for 3-4 minutes in a medium high flame. Add salt and chaat masala as per taste. Mix it properly and keep it aside.
  5. Now take precooked rotis/ chapatis /tortillas. Heat it from both the sides.
  6. Now place the chapatti/ roti/ tortillas and spread salad dressing and 1 teaspoon of red chilli sauce over it. After this place few vegetable mixture and tikka in between the wrap and finally top it with more shredded vegetable mixture. Roll the wrap from both the sides and tuck the wrap with tooth pick.
  7. Repeat the procedure with more wraps and serve it with tomato ketchup.

5.Potato cheese balls recipe

Serves- 12-13 cheese balls


  1. Potatoes- 4 boiled and mashed
  2. Green chilies- 3 finely chopped
  3. Ginger- 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped
  4. Garlic- 4 cloves finely chopped
  5. Bread crumbs-1/2 teaspoon
  6. Red chili powder-1/2 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
  8. Cheese- 1 cup grated
  9. Fresh coriander leaves-finely chopped
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil for deep frying


    1. Take a bowl and mash boiled potatoes. Add finely chopped green chillies, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, bread crumbs, coriander leaves and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients properly.
    2. Now make small balls out of the potato mixture. Take few drops of oil into your palm and take one ball make it smoothly round and make a small hole in between the holes and add grated cheese into it. And close the balls from all the sides. Repeat with all balls the same way.
    3. Heat the oil for frying, now drop 2- 3 balls into the oil and keep the flame into medium high. It is very important to cook the balls properly and keeping it in a medium high to melt the cheese and the potato mixture. Keep flipping the balls 2-3 times and cook from both the sides till golden brown.
    4. Drain the excess oil with an absorbent paper.
    5. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
